Make it Monday #3

Ok so another Monday, another Stylebook inspired outfit.   This quasi patriotic fall fabulous look was inspired by Kendra at Closet Confections.  Do you follow her blog?  She is great.  She is based out of NYC, has great fashion sense and is genuinely a nice person.  Check her out.

I had all the similar pieces to try to recreate the look--the blue dress, the plaid blazer, red booties and black tights.  So viola!  Not identical, but a pretty decent replication, if I may.

So over the weekend, we had our first (of many) family Christmas get togethers/gift exchanges/eat your face off/rapid fire relative interactions.  And it was so much fun.  The kids were bigger and cute (naturally).  The food was AMAZING.  The gift exchanges were fun.

It was great.  I love family get togethers.  And even more so during the holidays.  But in a way, it makes me so sad.  Whenever a family holiday get together ends, I feel an instant loss.  It will be a whole other year before we do this again!  #sadface

But there are more to come--at least three.  And I am so stoked for them.  There is something to be said for the holidays when you are a parent.  Or aunt.  Or grandparent.  Or friend of a parent.  Or really just anyone who loves a child.  It really is a magical time of year.

Food.  Laughs.  Relaxing.  Hectic.  Gift wrap everywhere.  Children playing.

Perfection.
